Father Alan N. Polczynski

Pastor, Christ the King and St. Gertrude Parishes

Student of Canon Law

Father Alan N. Polczynski was installed as Pastor of St. Gertrude Parish on September 28, 2023.
Father Alan is a native of Lower Burrell and a 1984 graduate of Burrell High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Point Park College (now University), Pittsburgh, and a Master of Divinity degree and master’s degree in systematic theology at Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe.

He was ordained a priest June 2, 2007. Father Alan served as Parochial Vicar at several Greensburg area parishes and Chaplain at Greensburg Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School. He served as Pastor at Saint Thomas More University Parish, Indiana, and Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral/Lucernmines, and the partnered parishes of Christ, Prince of Peace Parish, Ford City, and Saint Lawrence Parish, Cadogan. Father Alan has also served as an Assistant Episcopal Master of Ceremonies and Episcopal Master of Ceremonies. He is working to finish his license in canon law from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
